Hilding Anders Group subsidiaries Eastborn and Jensen on the rise

Europe’s largest bed and mattress group, Hilding Anders will be present at the coming IMM (International Furnishings Fair) in Cologne in January with the group brands Jensen and Eastborn. At the same time, it announces a strengthened presence in the German market.
“The German market is stirring and box-spring beds are becoming ever more popular” explains the group‘s Director of Communications, Daniel Oelker. Both Jensen and Eastborn have made further progress in the German market this year and have strengthened their positions. Jensen has been able to increase sales – above all to existing customers – while Eastborn has improved its position where independent furniture retailers are concerned. “In 2012 we will be more active in the German market. We have changed our distribution structure and we shall meet the challenges of the German market jointly rather than separately,” adds Daniel Oelker.
Martin Frutig, formerly managing director of the Hilding Anders Swiss subsidiary Bico, will become Regional Sales Director at the start of 2012. Thereby he also assumes main responsibility for the German market. “We are looking forward to the IMM Fair. We are also confident that in Germany, during 2012, we shall be able to successfully raise our profile,” comments Frutig on the prospects for the coming year.
New products at IMM – All Jensen Supreme models now with Full Pocket Inside
The Norwegian premium brand Jensen is now further upgrading its Supreme range and, from mid-2012, is offering pocket springs at all price levels. “Up until now we have placed both Bonell and also LFK spring systems in the lower price range, now we wish to offer something more,” says the head of marketing Nina Stordalen. This change relates to the models Diplomat, Ambassadör, Prestige and Supreme. As before, at Jensen everything is focused on lying in comfort, the motto on the exhibition Stand B 96 in Hall 9.1 encapsulating this concept with “Full Pocket Inside”.

Eastborn – more space for successful Shop-in-Shop concept
Following the successful premier in Hannover at the firm Möbelobjekte, the Dutch brand Eastborn is presenting the Sand Collection and the Sand Shop Concept on the exhibition Stand C51 in Hall 9. Sand is one of Eastborn’s most successful product lines on the Dutch and Belgian markets since the collection is based on natural materials and variable comfort levels.
Besides the Sand Collection, Eastborn is also showing a Shop-in-Shop variant for smaller display areas. The ‘Eastborn Shop-in-Shop Lite’ consists of 2 box-spring beds from the already successful Prime Collection.
