Slumberland China signs hotel contract worth €4,4m with the Wanda Corporation

2013-07-08 [Press release]

Hilding Anders’ organisation in China has won a prestigious delivery contract with the Chinese hotel chain Wanda Corporation. The contract comprises net sales of RMB 35 million (approx. 4,4m€) for mattress deliveries to 27 five star hotels in the country and stretches until the end of 2014. “We have been implementing a rapid revitalization of the Chinese organisation during the past twelve months including installing a new management team. It is very encouraging to see that leading customers recognize our improvements by honoring us with a prestigious contract at that early stage of our change”, comments Wong Wai Hong, Region President for Hilding Anders in Asia.

The contract was awarded in tough competition with domestic and international brands where the ability of Hilding Anders China was decisive to improve the product specification and comfort level with an innovative value engineering strategy. Additionally, product quality and specifications of the hotel corporation were met despite a very demanding time schedule.

“The winning factor though was the strong team effort between the two manufacturing plants in Harbin and Shanghai to fulfill the stringent dateline of the delivery”, adds Wong Wai Hong.

“Congratulations to the Asian team”, comments Group CEO Anders Pettersson. “Recently, the Board of Directors approved a major expansion plan for the Chinese operations until 2017. This early win is a good stimulus for our Chinese organisation that we are on the right way”, concludes Anders Pettersson.
